In Nehemiah 7, The wall is done, but Nehemiah knows a secure city needs strong people and leadership. He appoints trustworthy men and organizes guards. Then he digs out the old genealogy of those who returned from exile and records their names. These aren’t just names. They reach back to David and extend forward to Jesus maintaining the divine lineage.

In Nehemiah 8, Ezra the scribe reads the Law publicly for hours. The people stand, weep, and then rejoice. They realize how far they’ve drifted, and they’re hungry to return. The Levites help explain the Scriptures, so everyone understands.

Nehemiah 9 is another celebration beginning with confession but recognizing and celebrating God’s unending mercy. Amen! You don’t have to hide your past. Bring it to God. His grace is bigger than your worst chapters.

Psalm 133 talks about living in harmony, described in called good and pleasant, like fresh oil or morning dew. It’s a picture of spiritual health and blessing.
