Nehemiah 10 is a chapter of commitment. After accomplishing, worshiping and confessing, it came time to commit. The leaders, and many others, sign a covenant promising to obey God’s Law.
In Nehamiah 11, the goal was to restore Jerusalem fully, but for that to happen people had to actually live there. Although many preferred the countryside, volunteers stepped forward to repopulate the city. Being willing to give up your wants to fulfill God’s plan is a beautiful form of worship.
Psalm 134 is an ode to worship in quiet hours. In the Psalm, even at night, the servants worship. It’s a moment of mutual devotion.
