In Nehamiah12, the wall is finished, and now it’s time to praise. The joy is so loud, it's heard far away. Priests dedicate the project to God.

In Nehamiah 13, Nehemiah leaves Jerusalem for a while and returns to find things slipping again. The Temple is misused, Levites unpaid, Sabbath ignored, and people intermarrying with pagans. He confronts the people strongly, even chasing some off. He ends his powerful book with a humble prayer, “Remember me, my God, for good."

Psalm 135 calls everyone to praise and reminds us why God is good, powerful, and active. He’s alive!
