In Job 20, Zophar answered Job with more of the same. He believed Job was secretly evil and would soon fall like the rest. Sometimes bad people seem to win for a while, but God sees the whole picture.

In Job 21, Job replied that immoral people often live long lives, grow rich, and their children do well. Job wasn’t saying sin was good, he was just pointing out that life isn’t always fair. The results belong to God and out role is in daily obedience.

In Job 22, Eliphaz came back again and listed imaginary sins that Job must have committed. What a waste of time! Job didn’t need to return. He was already faithful. Sometimes people imagine the worst just to make their ideas fit. This teaches us not to guess someone’s story just to make ourselves feel right.

In Job 23, Job wished he could find God and ask Him questions. He believed God knew the truth and was testing him, and that he would come out like gold. Even though he couldn’t see God, Job trusted that God could see him.

In Psalm 144, David thanks God for training him and giving him victory. Every good skill and every victory come from God. He helps us succeed and grow.
