Isaiah 23 brings God’s ruling to Tyre, the wealthy merchant city. Economic power can’t protect from God’s justice.
Isaiah 24 expands this theme globally. It’s a reminder that all creation suffers under sin.
But then, Isaiah lifts our eyes to the future. In chapters 25–27, hope breaks through like sunlight after a storm. Death will be swallowed up. Tears will be wiped away. “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You” (Isaiah 26:3). A promise of peace. Amen!
Proverbs 7 is a dramatic story. A young man wanders too close to temptation and is seduced by flattery. Don’t wait until the moment of weakness to decide your convictions. Stay strong.
