In Jeremiah 19, God tells Jeremiah to take a clay jar and shatter it. The jar can not be repaired. This imagery foreshadows Judah’s future. What has God tried to break in us so we finally turn back to Him?

In Jeremiah 20, Jeremiah is beaten by the priest Pashhur. He cries out in pain and confusion. This chapter reveals the deep cost of obedience. Have you ever felt burdened by a calling you didn’t ask for? Jeremiah gets it.

In Jeremiah 21, King Zedekiah asks Jeremiah to inquire of God for help as Babylon surrounds Jerusalem. God’s answer is surprising: God will not save the city. Sometimes, help looks different than we expect, especially when we are in constant search of mercy.

In Ecclesiastes 7, this chapter is packed with wisdom. It’s better to go to a funeral than a party, why? Because it makes us consider what really matters. Life is complex, and God is sovereign over it all. Wise living isn't about having all the answers.
