In Lamentations 4, Jerusalem used to shine. Its leaders were strong. Its people were at peace. But now, everything has fallen apart.

In Lamentations 5, this final chapter is a prayer. The people cry out to God, remembering the pain, shame, and loss they’ve suffered. The poem is left unresolved, mirroring what many of us feel, but there is a glimmer of hope.

In Song of Songs 7, the bridegroom describes his beloved with great admiration. Their love is passionate and secure. She invites him to go away with her to enjoy their time together, deeply connected and free to love. What a beautiful feeling to love freely. Who do you love freely? A question that leads us to exactly where we need to be.
