Worth another warning - These chapters are intense and visually dramatic. God gives Ezekiel terrifying visions to illustrate the depth of Jerusalem’s sin. Don’t get stuck on the gore. Look deeper into what breaks God's heart? In Ezekiel 7, God declares, over and over, that the end has come upon the land. This isn’t just punishment—it’s the result of generations of rebellion. God’s patience has run out. Are there areas where we’re ignoring His voice and assuming we’ll have more time? In Ezekiel 8, Ezekiel is taken in a vision to the Temple and sees secret idolatry among the elders and women. They think God doesn’t see but He sees it all. What idols do we hide behind closed doors? In this terrifying chapter, Ezekiel 9, executioners are sent to slay those who have turned to depravity. But first, one man is told to mark the foreheads of those who grieve the sin of the city. Everyone without the mark is struck down. In a corrupt culture, are we willing to stand apart? In Psalm 2, the question is asked: Why do the nations rebel against God? God laughs because His plan will not fail. God isn’t intimidated by chaos. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.
