In Ezekiel 13, God scolds the false prophets of Israel—those who claim to speak for Him but speak lies from their own hearts. He describes them being pretty on the outside but crumbling underneath. In Ezekiel 14, Some elders come to Ezekiel for answers, but God sees their real issue. They have idols in their hearts. In Ezekiel 15, God describes Israel. Israel is like a vine, but not one that produces fruit. It’s already been burned and is now useless, fit only to be thrown in the fire. We are reminded that a life disconnected from God will wither. The vine’s value is in its fruit, not just its existence. Psalm 4 is a personal nighttime prayer written by David in a time of stress or opposition. Calling out for help, trusting God's justice, encouraging repentance, and resting in God's peace. Lord, You’ve helped me before, please hear me now. People chase lies, but I want to trust You. Give me peace when I’m angry, and help me do what is right. Shine Your light on me and fill me with joy. Tonight, I will rest in peace, because only You keep me safe. Amen.
