Ezekiel 31 compares Egypt to a strong, eternal tree (Assyria). At one point, it was tall, proud, and beautiful, until God cut it down. Egypt’s downfall will be just as sudden and humbling. No nation, no matter how powerful, stands forever without God. Ezekiel 32 is a cry to the Pharaoh. Egypt will join the other collapsed nations in the grave. Pride and violence have consequences, and God holds leaders accountable. In Ezekiel 33, brings hope and responsibility. Ezekiel is appointed as a watchman again. His job is to warn people. If he does, he’s done his part. Personal responsibility is key. It is a personal choice what we do once God has sent a warning. In Psalm 10, why do dreadful people seem to prosper while the helpless suffer? God defends the broken and humbles the immoral. Justice may feel delayed, but it is never forgotten
