Let’s get this clear before we continue. In this final section of Ezekiel, it’s important to remember where we are in the story. Ezekiel has witnessed the worst, Jerusalem destroyed, the temple burned, and the glory of God departing because of Israel’s sin. But now, in exile and many years later, God gives Ezekiel a final vision, Ezequiel 40-48, not of judgment, but of hope. In Ezekiel 43, Ezekiel’s vision continues. This chapter marks a beautiful turning point, the glory of the Lord returns to the new temple. In Ezekiel 44, God lays out who can serve in His house. Not just anyone. Only the sons of Zadok, faithful during Israel’s rebellion, are chosen to minister before Him. Others can help with basic tasks. Holiness, obedience, and dedication matter. In Ezekiel 45, God designates holy sections of land. There’s an emphasis on justice and fairness, no more cheating with dishonest scales. Leaders are commanded to stop oppressing people. This new system is God-centered, equitable, and holy, a reset for a people once lost in corruption. In Psalm 14, a world that has forgotten God, many walk around believing they’re in charge of their own lives. There is no God, they say in their hearts, not always with their lips, but by how they live. Corruption spreads like a disease. Kindness grows rare. Goodness feels hard to find. The story changes, when God steps in to restore His people with joy.
