God had a serious message for Israel. There was no truth, no kindness, and people were living like they didn’t even know Him. Even the priests, who should be guiding the people, are just as guilty. If we rely on culture, trends, or feelings to guide us, but not God, we'll end up lost. Have you ever tried to fix a deep, soul-level problem with something temporary—like shopping, scrolling, eating, or even just staying busy? This chapter feels heavy because it’s like watching someone you care about keep making bad choices and refusing to listen. In Hosea 5, God gives a strong warning to Israel and Judah. Their leaders were supposed to guide them, but instead, they led everyone in the wrong direction. In Hosea 6, finally, there’s a small spark of hope. The people start to say they want to come back to God. But their hearts aren’t really in it—it’s more talk than true change. In Psalm 21, This psalm is a celebration. The king (likely David) rejoices in God’s power and victory. He praises God for answered prayers, blessings, and strength in battle.
