God wants to heal Israel, but they keep doing wrong. They lie, steal, and hurt each other. Everyone is so caught up in sin that they forget about God completely. When we apologize sincerely, whether to someone in our life or to God, there should be evidence of it. True repentance produces fruit; something should change. In Hosea 8, The people of Israel built idols, made kings without asking God, and trusted in their own strength. They claim to know God, but their actions say the opposite. They’ve planted bad seeds, and now bad things are growing. In Hosea 9, God tells Israel: the party is over. They were having fun without thinking about the future. But now hard times are coming. God has warned them again and again, but they refused to listen. In Psalm 21, David starts by asking where God is. He feels alone and attacked. People are laughing at him, and he’s surrounded by trouble. But even in his pain, he remembers how God helped in the past .We all have moments when we feel abandoned or hurt. This common human experience needs to be understood because it can’t be avoided.
