In Amos 4, God tried many times to get His people’s attention through hard situations, but they didn’t listen. He wanted them to turn back to Him before it was too late. Sometimes, God allows tough things to wake us up and remind us to depend on Him. In Amos 5, God told the people to stop pretending and really seek Him with their hearts. He cares more about how we treat others than how well we sing or pray. Real faith shows in our actions, not just our words. In Amos 6, The people were too comfortable and didn’t care about those who were hurting. They thought they were safe, but they were in danger because they ignored God. We should never be so focused on ourselves that we forget to love others. Psalm 27, David says he’s not afraid because God is his light and protector. Even when things are scary or people turn away, he trusts that God will never leave him. This Psalm reminds us to be brave and wait on God with hope.
