In Habakkuuk 1, Habakkuk looks around at his world and feels overwhelmed because everything seems unfair. People are hurting each other, and it feels like God is silent. When he cries out, God answers: He is doing something surprising, using another nation to wake His people up. This reminds us that sometimes God’s plans look different than what we expect, but He always has a bigger purpose that we can trust. In Habakkuuk 2, Habakkuk waits to hear more, and God tells him to write down the vision clearly so people will know what’s coming. God explains that proud people who think they don’t need Him will eventually fall, but those who trust Him will find life and strength. In Habakkuuk 3, Habakkuk ends with a powerful prayer. He remembers how God has always rescued His people in the past and chooses to trust Him again. Even if the fields have no crops and life feels empty, Habakkuk says he will still rejoice in God. He knows God is his strength and will help him stand firm. This shows us how real faith isn’t about everything going our way, it’s about choosing to keep praising God because He is good all the time. In Psalm 35, David feels hurt because people are attacking him unfairly. Instead of striking back, he asks God to be the one to defend him. He trusts that God sees everything and will lift him up in the right time.
