In Luke 10, Jesus sends out seventy-two of His followers to share peace and healing in the towns ahead of Him. They return with joy, amazed that God’s power worked through them. Jesus reminds them that the greatest joy is not in what they can do, but that they belong to God. He tells the story of the Good Samaritan, showing that love for God is proven in how we care for people in need, no matter who they are. When He visits Mary and Martha, He gently shows that listening to Him is the most important thing, even above all the tasks we think must get done. God calls to all of us.

In Luke 11, Jesus teaches His disciples how to pray, starting with words that honor God inviting Him in close. He encourages persistence in prayer. Jesus also addresses the crowds who question Him, teaching that light and darkness cannot mix, and that those who hear God’s Word and put it into practice are truly blessed. He challenges the religious leaders who cared more about outward appearances than true devotion. Is our faith something we live out from the heart, or just something we show on the outside?

Is our faith real, or are we just pretending? This is the time to check. Think of it like an experiment: if what we believe doesn’t show up in how we live, the results prove something is off. Jesus wasn’t impressed with people who looked religious on the outside but were empty on the inside. So ask yourself honestly, am I a true believer, or am I still in the “fake it till you make it” phase? Take this test daily until you can say with confidence: I am saved!

In Luke 12, Jesus speaks to thousands of people about courage and trust. He tells the story of the rich fool who stored up treasures for himself but never prepared his heart for God. He encourages His followers not to worry about food or clothing, since God is in control. He reminds us to stay alert and ready, living faithfully until the day He returns.

Stop wasting your energy chasing what never lasts. Anxious striving only drains you, and it proves you are trusting yourself more than God. Jesus says your Father already knows what you need. So cut the chase, drop the worry, and live ready for what truly matters.

Psalm 64 is a cry for help when others speak hurtful words and plot against the innocent, but it ends with confidence that God hears, sees, and will protect those who trust Him.
