In Luke 13, Jesus calls people to turn their lives toward God while there is still time. He heals a woman who had been bent over for eighteen years. He compares God’s kingdom to a tiny mustard seed and to yeast, both small but able to grow and spread powerfully. When asked about who will be saved, Jesus reminds them that what matters most is a real, living relationship with Him, not simply being near religious things.
In Luke 14, Jesus teaches at a dinner that humility matters more than showing off. He urges people to take the lowest place at the table, because God lifts up the humble. He also tells the parable of the Great Banquet, where many people made excuses and missed out, while the poor and broken were invited in.
In Luke 15, Here Jesus tells some of the most powerful stories of God’s heart for the lost. A shepherd leaves ninety-nine sheep to find the one that wandered. A woman sweeps her whole house to find one coin. And a father runs to welcome his son who wasted everything but finally came home. Each story shows God’s joy when even one person turns back to Him.
A single sheep wanders into the dark,
God does not count the ninety-nine and stop,
He tears through hills until He lifts you up,
His fierce love strikes brighter than any spark.
A coin buried deep in the dust of the floor,
He overturns the house until it is found,
No silence, no shadow can hide you away,
He shouts with joy when you are His once more.
A son runs off, empty and broken inside,
Yet the Father sees him from far on the road,
He runs with fire, wrapping arms that restore,
No soul forgotten, no child left denied.
A kingdom rejoices when one life is saved,
Heaven erupts with unstoppable song,
The angels declare what the lost could not hide,
God’s mercy proves stronger than all that was wrong.
The Shepherd will not release what is His,
The search will not end until every one is home,
His love is a fire that nothing can quench,
And His victory claims every heart as His own.
Psalm 65 celebrates God’s goodness. He forgives, He hears prayers, and He blesses the earth with rain that makes crops grow. The psalmist paints a picture of overflowing abundance. It’s a reminder that all creation depends on God’s care, and so do we.
