In Acts 4, Peter and John were arrested after healing the man at the temple. The leaders tried to stop them from talking about Jesus, but they boldly said they could not stay silent. The believers prayed together for courage, and the Holy Spirit filled them with even more strength. They shared everything they had so that no one was in need. This reminds us that God gives us courage to stand for Him, and He calls us to look out for one another in love.

In Acts 5, Ananias and Sapphira tried to lie about what they gave, and it ended badly for them. This showed the believers how serious honesty and trust were in the new church. At the same time, many miracles happened, and more people believed in Jesus. Even when the apostles were arrested again, an angel opened the doors and sent them back out to keep teaching. This shows us that nothing can stop God’s message, and He wants our hearts to be real and open before Him.

In Acts 6, as the church grew, some widows were not being cared for. The apostles chose seven men, including Stephen, to make sure food was shared fairly. This freed the apostles to focus on prayer and teaching. Stephen was known for his wisdom and faith, and soon others began to oppose him. This reminds us that serving others, even in simple ways like making sure needs are met, is a powerful part of God’s mission.

In Psalm 77, the writer feels discouraged, wondering if God has forgotten him. But then he remembers the amazing things God has done in the past, like leading His people through the Red Sea. Remembering God’s faithfulness brings hope. In our lives, too, when we feel down, we can look back and see how God has carried us before, knowing He will do it again.
