At this point, Paul is still writing from Macedonia, sending encouragement and hope to the believers in Corinth. He has faced many hardships, but instead of giving up, his heart is full of confidence in God’s power working through weakness.
In 2 Corinthians 4, Paul reminds us that even when life feels hard, God’s light shines through us. He compares our lives to fragile clay jars that carry a priceless treasure—the message of Jesus. Paul says that what we see is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. It is a comforting reminder that our pain today is shaping us for something greater tomorrow.
In 2 Corinthians 5, Paul talks about how our bodies are like temporary homes. He shares how Christ’s love changes everything: the old life passes away and a new one begins.
In 2 Corinthians 6, Paul encourages believers not to delay responding to God’s love. He also lists many of the ways he and his team have suffered while serving others, yet they continue to live with purity, patience, and kindness. Paul warns the Corinthians not to let anything pull their hearts away from God.
In Psalm 98, we are invited to sing a new song to the Lord. The psalm celebrates God’s wonderful works and His faithful love for all people.
