Paul continues writing to the Corinthians. His heart is lighter now because he has received good news from Titus, who told him that the believers in Corinth had listened to his earlier letter and truly wanted to grow closer to God.
In 2 Corinthians 7, Paul expresses great relief and joy. He had been worried that his earlier words might have hurt their feelings, but instead, they brought positive change. The Corinthians turned back to what was right, and that made Paul’s heart overflow with happiness.
In 2 Corinthians 8, Paul encourages the believers to continue being generous. He points to the churches in Macedonia, who gave joyfully even when they were poor. Their giving came from love, not pressure. True generosity comes from a grateful heart that wants to bless others.
In 2 Corinthians 9, Paul continues teaching about giving with joy. He says that whoever plants generously will also harvest generously. God loves a cheerful giver, and when we give freely, He provides everything we need and multiplies our blessings so we can keep helping others. Giving becomes an act of worship that brings glory to God and draws people closer to Him.
In Psalm 99, we learn that God is the King over everything. Everyone should respect Him because He is great and good. The psalm remembers people like Moses, Aaron, and Samuel who talked to God and He listened to them. It shows that God is strong but also kind. He cares about what is right and always listens when we call on Him.
