Paul writes from prison in Rome, yet his letter is filled with gratitude and hope. He wants the believers in Ephesus to remember how much they are loved by God.
In Ephesians 1, Paul writes from prison, but his heart is overflowing with gratitude and hope. He reminds the believers that God chose them long before they were born and adopted them into His family through Jesus. Paul prays that they would understand how deeply they are loved and how much spiritual treasure they already have in Christ, hope, forgiveness, and strength. He wants them to remember that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in them too.
In Ephesians 2, Paul explains that God’s grace brings life to hearts that once felt lost. We are saved not by what we do but by what Jesus has already done for us. Paul says we are God’s masterpiece, created to do good things that share His love. He also celebrates that Jesus broke down every wall between people, making everyone, no matter their background, one family in Him.
In Ephesians 3, Paul shares his deep joy in being able to tell others about God’s great plan. He says this mystery, once hidden, is now revealed through Jesus, that all people can share in God’s promises. Paul prays that believers would be rooted in love and understand how wide, long, high, and deep God’s love truly is.
In Psalm 103, David praises God with all his heart, remembering His kindness and mercy. God forgives, heals, and fills life with good things. He is patient and full of love, slow to anger and quick to show compassion.
