📜 The book of Revelation was written by the apostle John near the end of the first century, around A.D. 95, while he was exiled on the island of Patmos for following Jesus. The early believers were living under Roman rule, facing pressure and hardship for their faith. Revelation was written as both a message of comfort and a promise of hope, reminding them that God was still in control, no matter how dark the world seemed.

🌌 Revelation is written in a special style called apocalyptic writing, which uses symbols, visions, and vivid imagery to show spiritual truths. The strange creatures, numbers, and colors aren’t meant to scare us but to help us see that God’s story is much bigger than what we see with our eyes. For example, the Lamb represents Jesus, whose love brings victory through sacrifice; the beast symbolizes worldly powers that oppose God; and the new Jerusalem shows the beauty of God’s final promise, a world made new.

✨ In Revelation 1, John describes how, while on the island of Patmos, he receives a vision of Jesus in glory. Jesus appears shining brighter than the sun, holding stars in His hand, and speaking words of strength and comfort. He tells John to write down what he sees so that the churches will be encouraged to stay faithful. John falls in awe, but Jesus gently tells him not to be afraid, for He holds the keys of life and forever.

💌 In Revelation 2, Jesus sends messages to several churches, praising their love, patience, and endurance while also reminding them to keep their hearts devoted to Him. He wants them to continue choosing faithfulness, even when life gets hard. His words show that He sees every act of courage and every quiet effort to love well.

🚪 In Revelation 3, Jesus continues speaking to the churches, inviting them to open their hearts fully to Him. He encourages them to stay awake, to keep shining brightly, and to remember that He stands at the door, ready to be welcomed in. His message is both tender and strong, reminding believers that He walks among them and never leaves.

🕯️ John’s vision reminds us that Jesus is close, even when we cannot see Him. He walks among His people, guiding, correcting, and comforting with perfect love. When we open the door of our hearts and let Him in, His presence fills every corner with peace and light.

🏛️ In Psalm 132, David’s love for God shines as he dreams of building a place for His presence. God promises to bless David’s family and live among His people. This song reminds us that God loves to be close to those who welcome Him with thankful hearts.
