🏺 In Revelation 16, John sees seven bowls poured out upon the earth, showing that everything on earth is temporary and in need of renewal. Even when people face difficulty, God’s desire is to bring hearts back to Him. Through each event, we are reminded that His power is greater than any force in creation and that His mercy always offers a path back to peace.
🏙️ In Revelation 17, John is shown a picture of a great city filled with wealth and pride, standing for everything that tries to live apart from God’s ways. Though the city seems strong, it eventually falls, showing that what is built on pride cannot last. God’s love invites everyone to build their lives on what is true, gentle, and lasting.
🕯️ In Revelation 18, the fall of that city is described in sorrowful songs. People who once trusted in their riches mourn, while heaven rejoices that truth and goodness endure. It is a reminder that what the world treasures can fade, but the love of God remains forever.
🌿 These chapters remind us that the things we build without God can crumble, but what we give in love will always stand. God’s heart is not to destroy but to renew, turning hearts back toward hope. When we let go of what will fade, our hands are free to hold what is eternal.
🌇 In Psalm 137, the people remember the days when they were far from home and missed Jerusalem. Even in sadness, they kept their hope in God alive. This song shows that love for God and His promises stays strong, even in hard times.
