The Israelites refuse to enter the Promised Land after hearing a fearful report from ten of the twelve spies (Numbers 14). Only Joshua and Caleb trust God's promise, but the people rebel, wanting to return to Egypt. God punishes them with 40 years of wandering. No one likes to wait. Sometimes we have to wait because we are in training. Other times we must wait because it is part of God’s plan. Sometimes waiting is a lesson.
God reiterates laws about sacrifices and offerings, reminding the people that obedience is key (Numbers 15). Small acts of obedience matter. Staying faithful in daily life strengthens our walk with God.
Korah and others challenge Moses' leadership (Numbers 16). God proves His choice by causing the ground to swallow them. Pride and rebellion leads away from God while humility brings us peace.
Psalm 44 is a cry for help, questioning current struggles. It reminds us to keep in mind that God is still at work. Let Him cook.
