The Israelites fall into idolatry and immorality with Moabite women, who lead them to worship Baal (Numbers 25). This reminds me to try to spend time with like-minded people. The influence of those around you can really affect your soul.
After the plague, God instructs Moses and Eleazar to take a second census of the Israelites (Numbers 26). Knowing what you have in your coffer is key. Nothing is a personal possession. It all belongs to God, but understanding what resources are at our disposal can help us get to where he wants us to go.

Psalm 48 is a song of praise celebrating God’s greatness and the beauty of Jerusalem, Zion. There should be more songs that celebrate beauty.
