Judah is Jacob’s fourth son. His story unfolds through his mistakes, but it also highlights the surprising ways God works through imperfect people (Genesis 38).
Joseph's rises in Potiphar's house, where his integrity and trust in God leads him through trials, including false accusations (Genesis 39). He ends up in prison condemned unjustly for something he did not do. Joseph doesn’t seem to have it easy.
Joseph's gift of interpreting dreams is used by God to move him closer to his purpose (Genesis 40). We see God's plan unfold even when it is not a clearly lit path. This gives us hope in knowing that even if what we are going through seems purposeless and painful, we can rest in knowing God is good all the time. It would benefit us, in these circumstances, to change our perspective and try to see our situation in another light, His light.
In Psalm 11, David faces danger, but he chooses to trust in God's protection. He encourages us to focus on God's holiness and justice rather than being consumed by fear.
Psalm 12 speaks of the corruption and deceit around us, but David confidently calls on God for help. It’s a reminder that even in a world filled with lies and falsehoods, God’s word is pure and trustworthy.
