This week we read Romans chapters 3 to 5 in our Bible study Wednesday night. We find a simple but powerful equation to live by: First belief then faith then peace. We can use this simple equation to evaluate where we are on our walk with God and evaluate our relationship with Him. If we find a lack of peace – let’s check our faith. If we find a lack of faith – let’s check our belief. If we find a lack of belief – let’s find the cause and distance ourselves from it.
Thank you, God, for your simple truths to live by that open our hearts and our minds to live in you and for you. Romans 5: 1-2 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[b] boast in the hope of the glory of God. Thank you also because we are comforted in knowing that our suffering has purpose and meaning creating character and hope through our relationship with you. Romans 5: 3-53 Not only so, but we[c] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. Amen.
