Last night in our Bible class we studied Matthew 1-13. Jesus came into the picture to break the 400 years of silence. Those 400 years of silence have always interested me. We have all experienced those times in our lives where we can’t openly communicate with God. Sin gets in the way and takes our attention to other places and we lose that.
God gives us the key to opening up that line of communication again:
· Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
· James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
· Zechariah 1:3 Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, “Return to Me,” declares the Lord of hosts, “that I may return to you,” says the Lord of hosts.
We have to go to Him. Don’t wait for God to come to you. He really never left.
