When abundance blinds you and want is all around.
When needs have been absent for a while.
When desire becomes the fuel that drives your engine.
When delay is only a moment.
When expectations are set high above the norm.
When comparison reigns king.
It is then we hear the sleigh bells ring.
My son wisely asked me,
Who is this man we adore?
Red suit, presents and candy galore?
Isn’t it Jesus who we celebrate?
He is going to have to choose a different date.
